that's a default part of Classic MacOS.<BR><BR>If you let any alert box stay on screen for a specified period of time it will eventually read it to you.<BR><BR>And before it reads it to you it sort of "announces" it's presence. The Default announcement is "It's not my fault". <BR><BR>I always thought it was pretty hilarious myself. It's all done through the Sound and Speech control panels I believe. You can even record your own alert if you want.

The controls for this are in the Speech control panel under Talking Alerts. You can specify the delay, what phrase it speaks before reading the alert (or none, or just the phrase and not the alert), enter your own list of phrases for it to speak ("Oh shit!", "Hey idiot", etc. View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif), or, as is my preference, turn it off if it's annoying.
