About this app

Atomic meditations is inspired by the international best seller "Atomic Habits" by habits expert James Clear.

Atomic Habits states that to gain a new consistent habit, we should make the habit fit seamlessly into our days, requiring minimal effort to do. Tracking your progress is also crucial to sticking to a new habit.

Atomic Meditation makes it super easy to develop a meditation habit:

- Meditate for a minimum of 2 mins to unlock the next day, then meditate for as long as you want. Meditating for a long time isn't initially important, staying consistent is. 2 mins makes it super easy to keep up the habit until it becomes a natural and unquestionable part of your day - like brushing your teeth before bed.

Once meditating becomes a seamless daily habit, then you can worry about meditating longer. But once you've done your 2 minutes, you'll likely want to continue meditating for longer!

-Track your progress. When you track, for example, how many days in a row you've done something, the perception that you have of yourself changes. Right now, you may see yourself as someone that struggles to stick to meditation, but after 20 straight days of meditation, you'll begin to perceive yourself as someone that meditates.

Also, if you've recorded that you've meditated for 20 straight days, you will want to protect that streak - making you more determined to keep going. Tracking your progress is powerful. That's why this app does it for you in the Stats Screen.

- Get a notification reminder of when it's meditation time. It's important to state when and where. Most goals that people set are too wishy-washy, like "I will exercise more". But at what time do you exercise and where do you do it? Stating a specific time and place helps to keep you showing up day-after-day.
